We have 6 cats and a bunch of fish. :)

I think I am going to have to say my cat, Rosebud. I would lean over to look at something on my wife's computer and she would climb up onto my back right between my shoulder blades and make her self comfortable. My back became her permanent kitty bed. I would roll over on my stomach, rolling from one side to the other, and have to stop on my stomach because she was there that quick. :)

Thursday Threesome

What's On your 'OOOPS' (why did I do that???) list Right Now?
I don't have any on my oops list at the moment. I did launch the cat last week though. We have this 20 pound tuxedo cat that ABSOLUTELY loves laying down in the middle of the dark hallway. But, he doesn't just lay there, he waits until you start walking down the hall after you turn off the light, and then he lays down on top of your foot. So one moment you are walking along just fine, the next you have this 20 pound cat rolling on your foot. Usually I stumble over him and try to catch myself from falling. The other night I was walking very fast. He laid down on my foot that I just planted and I couldn't stop so my foot came up with cat and all on it. :)

Hi there!! I realize that I am not a "chick" so I shouldn't be answering these, but I always put my 2 cents in when the women at work are talking about womenly things. And, I think that sometimes you need a guys point of view. Even if I am not considered an "actual guy" by my coworkers. *cackle*
1. Should You Wear White After Labor Day?:
I personally don't see a reason not to. Of course, I think that there are some shades of green some red heads shouldn't wear (other red heads have a darker skin tone and can pull it off), but they do. So why not!! :)
2. Do You Wear Sandals w/ Socks (be honest)?:
NO WAY!!! The only time I put socks on is when I have to put on decent shoes or tennie runners.
3. Panty Lines must be Avoiced at All Costs (T or F)?:
This one I am going to be a little sexist because I don't wear panties so I will say what I think about women and Panty Lines. :)
I say False. If you don't have any panty lines, when a guy looks at your backside (which everyone knows that they can't keep their eyes off of them) then there minds wander farther afield. Where if you do have panty lines, they just wonder what color they are. :P

Stupid People!!!!
Now some of you may know that I work at a Nursing Home. Well this rant is about one of the family members. Don't get me wrong. I love it when family members come in to visit their mothers, fathers and siblings. Even when all they do is complain. It shows that they do care. :)
There is one family member that I swear needs to be on some anti-psychotics. She makes things up just to complain about them. She took her mom for a walk the other night. When they got back, she whined because her mother hit her. When we asked her mother why they hit her, her mother told us because she pinched me. Then her daughter called the police because we were accusing her of abusing her mother. Because we did this, now no one can help her mother in anyway without someone else. And, all three of her daughters must have supervised visitation. Not just the stupid one.
That was a couple days ago. Today she took her mother outside on the patio. No staff. Just her and her mother. I asked our Social Services if that was allowable. She wasn't sure so she went and asked the D.O.N. Turns out that it wasn't allowable. So, the social services lady went out and told her that she wasn't allowed out there without a staff member, and offered to sit out there a little bit away from them. The daughter didn't even acknowledge that she heard the social services lady and got up and went back inside. The social services lady didn't have a reason to stay out there after that so she went back inside. She was talking to a lady before she went outside and went to finish her talk. Ended up taking the lady into her room and coming back out to just apologize to the daughter for inconveniencing her. The daughter just got up and walked away. Turned out that she called the cops again because we were harrassing her. We had sent a letter explaining everything and between the letter and the social services lady. The nice police man told her that she didn't have a case and should just drop it and do what the letter told her to do. :)
Now here is the funny part. One of my co-workers saw the cop and jokingly said, "As long as he isn't here to see me, I don't really care what happens." Me being the smart-allecked person that I am said, "He is here to see you, She just high-jacked him when she saw him." :)
For some reason he told me to shut up. *cackle*

Monday Madness
1. If you had a farm, what would you name the following animals:

(assume these are show animals and not food.)
2. What are the top ten spices you use in cooking and what is cooked with them as the main spice (ie. Oregano: Spaghetti)
oregano, onion powder, garlic salt, mexican seasonings, italian seasonings, seasoned salt, chili powder I use these in to many things to list here. But, anything I cook that has some sort of meat in it. :)
cinnamon toast
vanilla and chocolate non-sweetened powder I use these for baking. Specifically my famous Texas Sheet cake with chocolate Butter Cream frosting. :)
3. Name your favorite flower and describe yourself using the letters.

Team Managers...do your job please
We are going to a "new culture" at work. This means that we are going to have Team Managers and then up to Team Leaders. And, of course this means that if you have a problem with a fellow worker, you take it to your Team Manager and they try to solve it. :)
Well, anyway, our Team Manager found out that there were more people on her court than she originally thought. She had already turned in next months schedule, so she said, "We have to redo this so just add yourself where ever you want with whatever days you want and I will just turn it back in." Now, this worked GREAT for 6-2 shift and 10-6 because 6-2 didn't gain anyone, and 10-6 actually lost a person. But, 2-10 went from 3 people to 6 people. The administrator has put his foot down and said, "6-2 and 2-10 must have ONE CMA and ONE CNA or 2 CMA's." The only way that you can have more is if one court doesn't have a CMA. Then a CMA has to float between 2 courts. Then those 2 courts can have 2 CNA's.
Now I am sure that most of you have already figured out what is wrong with just adding more people to the schedule without reworking it. I went in a little early today to talk with our Team Manager and point out to her that this is not going to work and to see if she needed anyone helping out on 6-2 because that was the only way I saw to get more hours. I made a quick schedule to show her how it was not going to work. I had all my arguments ready and was all ready to convince her of the fact that she actually needed to do something other than just sit on her butt and do nothing. Of course my arguments would have been more subtle than saying that. :)
But, she had to go to the hospital today. So, I need to wait until she gets back and talk with her then. Of course this also gives me more time to talk to some of the other courts and find some more shifts that the people in mine could possibly work. I, also, talked with the other people on my shift to see if they are even willing to help out on 6-2 or on other courts. I have one girl that has been trying to get on 6-2 since she was hired, but there wasn't an opening, supposedly. (She just didn't follow through with it) :)
I am going to redo the schedule. Only for 2-10, without the girl. I figure the Team Manger actually works 6-2 so she can figure out how to get her full time hours. Of course, it will probably fall back onto me to get it done. I will still keep the schedule with her on 2-10 and finish it with the other courts. :)
Hopefully, this will get the lazy Team Manager doing her darn job. Of course, she hasn't shaved her mustache as long as I have known her. She has such a full mustache that even I couldn't grow one that full. And, I am part Italian. You know, one of the hairiest men in the world. *cackle*
